Keith West, an aviation enthusiast with a passion for history, reading, and sailing, has carved a distinguished career as a pilot and aviation leader. His journey began with a B.S. in History from the U.S. Naval Academy—an auspicious start in the world of aviation. 

Keith’s trajectory boasts remarkable milestones. First, as a Navy Pilot, he soared while commanding the A-6 Intruder—a testament to his dedication and skill. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he established an early internet travel site, seamlessly connecting aviation and innovation. His leadership extended to being the Senior Director of Flight Schools for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association’s (AOPA) You Can Fly initiative. Additionally, he served as an elected Member of the Richmond Virginia School Board from 2008 to 2009. 

Currently, Keith holds the position of CEO at Rexair in Naples, Florida—a Cirrus Training Center renowned for personalized flight training in cutting-edge aircraft. His focus lies in precision and tailored experiences for aspiring pilots. 

Keith’s aviation odyssey commenced on his 16th birthday when he soloed—an exhilarating milestone. His hands-on approach to building a career led him to work at a small flight school in Charlotte, NC, accumulating flying hours. 

Known for his expertise in making sense of and bringing order to complicated situations, Keith has been recognized as the Civil Air Patrol National Legislative Officer of the Year.
